The Central Santa Monica Bay Watershed Area is located on the western edge of Los Angeles County. The watershed area drains to the Pacific Ocean and includes Ballona Creek and Marina Del Rey. Municipalities that fall either entirely or partially within the boundaries of this Watershed Area include: Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Culver City, West Hollywood, Inglewood, El Segundo, and Los Angeles County.

The Central Santa Monica Bay Watershed Area is estimated to receive up to $17.24 million annually to fund regional projects and programs.

Regional Program funds for the Watershed Area are programmed by the Watershed Area Steering Committee  comprised of local stakeholders from agencies, municipalities, and community members from within the Watershed Area. The Steering Committee will meet regularly to develop funding plans and recommendations to provide water quality, water supply, and community enhancement benefits to the region.
