Awards and Accomplishments

  • The Program currently raises approximately $280 million annually to implement stormwater capture projects that increase water supply, improve water quality, and provide community enhancements
  • In Oct 2020, Board adopted the first annual Stormwater Investments Plan, including allocating nearly $100M for FY2020-21 ($358M projected over 5 years) for 41 projects, 16 feasibility studies, 4 scientific studies, and 12 Watershed Coordinators across the 9 Watershed Areas
  • In March 2021, began on-boarding Watershed Coordinators (WCs). WASCs have approved the nine Watershed Area’s Strategic Outreach and Engagement Plans prepared by their Watershed Coordinators.
  • In Spring 2021, Public Works released interim guidance on Partial Funding, Nature-Based Solutions and Disadvantaged Community Benefits.
  • In Sept 2021, Board adopted FY 21-22 Stormwater Investment Plans, including allocating nearly $144M for FY2021-22 ($480M projected over 5 years) for 36 projects, 12 feasibility studies, 6 scientific studies, and 12 Watershed Coordinators across the 9 Watershed Areas.
  • In Fall 2021, the District initiated the Metrics and Monitoring Study which will help enable adaptive management of the Safe Clean Water Program (SCWP) by building out the means of measuring and tracking program impacts and mapping regional conditions relevant to SCWP Program Goals.
  • In Oct 2022, Board adopted FY 22-23 Stormwater Investment Plans, including allocating over $144M for FY2022-23 ($431M projected over 5 years) for 24 projects, 6 feasibility studies, 6 scientific studies, and 12 Watershed Coordinators across the 9 Watershed Areas.
